Writers Portfolio Review with Ollie Hicks

Ollie Hicks will be available for a portfolio review during Questival between 3 - 4pm. This is a chance to show your artwork and writing to a professional in the comic industry and get feedback. This is a timeslot activity there are 6 free 10 minute bookable slots.
Ollie Hicks has a PhD in Comics Studies from Dundee University and writer of the graphic novel trilogy Grand Slam Romance, created with their partner Emma Oosterhous, they have also createsd Butch Bros, the webcomic Sarararara and the riso-printed comics MASK4MASK and The Cuckening.
Since 2020 they have been professionally editing comics. They edited over 40 titles whilst working in-house at Rebellion (and picked up an Eisner award nomination for their work on The Ballad of Halo Jones Full Colour Omnibus Edition) and more recently co-edited Discord Comics' Succulent: Trans Inclusive Sapphic Erotic Comics with Tab Kimpton and Niki Smith.

As it stands, tickets will be available to purchase on the day dependant on availability.
When do I get my Questival ticket?
All Questival tickets will be available for collection from Bulwark Games from September 21st. Or on the day from Hulme Hall.

Do you offer free tickets for essential carers/companions?
Yes. We want our event to be accessible to everyone. We offer one complimentary ticket for an essential companion or carer whose assistance is necessary for a disabled visitor to attend safely.
Who qualifies for an essential carer/companion ticket?
An essential carer/companion ticket is available to anyone who requires physical, medical, or safety support during the event. This includes help with mobility, communication, or managing a medical condition.
How do I request a companion ticket?
- Book your ticket first: Please purchase your attendee ticket through our booking page to secure your space.
- Submit a request: Email us, at hello@questival.uk with your booking reference number and full name and we will get back to you.
